Price comparison in Canada
Paste an Amazon.ca link, or describe the product. You see what it costs on Amazon.ca today, which other Canadian stores sell the same product and for how much, and whether today is a good day to buy. Free, with no account.
We read the price history and tell you: buy now, or wait. Leave your email and we'll tell you when it drops.
What you get
- Stores selling the same product for less than Amazon.ca, cheapest first, each with a link to that store's own product page.
- Stores selling it for the same price or more, listed separately, so you can see who else carries it.
- The Amazon.ca price history for the last 90 days: lowest, average and highest, with a buy, wait or fair-price call.
- Whether the discount is real, measured against what the product has actually sold for.
How we match the same product across stores
Two listings with the same name are often not the same product. We compare the brand, the model number, the size or capacity and the pack count, and we read the store's own product page. A listing for another size, a multi-pack, a refurbished unit or another model in the same line is left out. A listing in another colour stays, with a note saying so, and is never called cheaper.
When a lower price shows up that we could not match with confidence, the page says to check it yourself instead of calling it a saving.
Found it cheaper at another store?
You do not always have to buy there. Some Canadian retailers match a competitor's price if you show them the product page. Our guide to price matching at Best Buy, Staples, Walmart and Amazon.ca has each store's rules, and why the same product has a different price at every store explains what to compare.
For price history alone, use the Amazon.ca price history checker.
Questions
Which Canadian stores does it compare?
Stores that list the product on Google Shopping in Canada, for example Best Buy Canada, Walmart.ca and Newegg.ca, plus new listings from Canadian sellers on eBay.ca. A store appears only when we can match its listing to the same product.
Why is the list of stores sometimes empty?
We only show a store when its listing matches the product’s name, size and pack count. When no listing passes that check, we show nothing instead of a guess, so an empty list does not prove nobody else sells it.
Do stores pay to appear or to rank higher?
No. No store pays to be listed, and the order is by price. Some links earn us an affiliate commission, which does not change which stores are shown or the buy-or-wait verdict.
Is shipping included in the prices?
A store’s price includes the shipping cost when the listing states one. Taxes and environmental fees are added by the store at checkout, so confirm the total there.
Can I compare a product that is not on Amazon.ca?
Not yet. A comparison starts from an Amazon.ca product: paste its link, describe the product, or scan the barcode on the box.
